Timed numerical, probability, coding, and cognitive assessments by role

Quant Research · Software Engineering · Trading

Source confidence: Official + candidate reports · Last reviewed: 8 Sept 2026. Exact process varies by role, office, and year.

Maven Securities publishes detailed preparation guidance for its Emerging Talent recruitment. Depending on the programme and business area, candidates may complete one or more numerical, probability, coding, or Arctic Shores cognitive assessments before interviews and possible assessment-centre or final-stage interviews. Maven explains what these assessments are intended to measure but does not publish universal question counts, durations, scoring rules, or cutoffs. Recent candidate reports provide useful examples of actual formats while remaining specific to particular roles and recruitment cycles.
