Source confidence: Candidate reports + third-party guides · Last reviewed: 7 Sept 2026. Exact process varies by role, office, and year.

Akuna Capital is an options market maker. For junior and graduate trading roles, candidate reports describe timed arithmetic and sequence assessments whose format has changed across offices and years. A Sydney candidate reported 7 minutes of arithmetic plus 15 minutes of sequences, while a newer third-party synthesis describes an 80-question, 8-minute arithmetic section followed by a 12-minute sequence test. Reports also describe a VidCruiter probability or betting game, recorded behavioral questions, and trader-led technical interviews. Quant Trading applicants may receive a separate Python or C++ coding challenge.
